Tips for proper nail care

  • The nail cuticle should not be pushed back with a sharp object, such as a rasp or a file. Sharp instruments injure the cuticle and can cause damage to the nail root. Instead, use a special manicure stick to push cuticles back.
  • Do not cut your nails with scissors that can cause them to flake. Instead, use a fine-grained nailfile, which is more gentle and more precise. Only file your nails in one direction, from the edge to the middle.
  • Be economical with nail-polish remover. Try to avoid products containing acetone, which injure the nails.
  • If you want to really pamper your nails, massage a small amount of oil into the nail surface in the evening.
  • Wear protective gloves when you come into contact with detergents or chemicals.
  • Do not leave your hands in water for too long.
  • Be aware of balanced nutrition. Sufficient supply of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and trace elements ensure beautiful, healthy nails.

Be patient. Your nails only grow very slowly. Complete renovation of nails takes about 4 – 6 months.
